The internet is a great way to find “hidden” sources of money. By “hidden” sources, I am referring to those places or ideas where cash can be made but aren’t always apparent to us. State department of revenue websites offer ways to check for any unclaimed money or property for which you may be eligible. You may have forgotten about an old bank account you had while working during the summer and there may be an unexpected $10.00 in that account – it’s worth a try. Another avenue of gaining money is by saving it. Saving money is basically a way to put more cash in your wallet or your investment portfolio, and the internet is chockfull of these thrifty tips. A third area of unanticipated money is by putting the programs you already use to work for you, such as utilizing reward programs and services. There are websites that break down the best rewards programs offered by credit card companies. The sources of untapped money or rewards is endless and a windfall can be easily found.

Senior Citizens' Discounts

I stumbled upon this list of discounts for senior citizens and I was amazed to find so many restaurants and retail establishments offer helpful reductions. For many people on fixed incomes a small discount is often the deciding factor in being able to afford to eat out or go shopping as any help makes a difference. Even though I have not reached the age to qualify for senior discounts my mother has and she would be happy to use these discounts and I think many of you will too. Let the discounts roll!
